Gerhard discovered his passion for firearms when he first shot his fathers 9mm Parabellum pistol at the age of 5. As he grew older his interest in everything gun related grew, from air rifle competitions to his first animal hunted, a blue wildebeest in the Mpumalanga region of South Africa, he knew that whatever the future holds for him had to involve firearms. After school Gerhard started his own business manufacturing gun bags which today boasts the popular SSG brand. His passion for firearms and hunting is one of the largest contributors to his company’s success. It is this same passion that inspired him to look for business opportunities in the hunting industry, and at the right time, he crossed paths with Dylan. His passionate business experience combined with Dylan’s in depth field experience is the backbone of Mellivora Hunting Safaris.

Dylan Geringer

Dylan was born into a family with a passion for hunting. He started hunting at a very young age and knew from that moment that he wanted to become a Professional Hunter. After school he studied Game Ranging and Lodge Management and went on to work on a ranch in the Highveld region of Mpumalanga. There he gained experience in guiding foreign clients and went on to become a qualified Professional Hunter. He then moved to Alldays in the Limpopo region to further his hunting experience and has also guided in the forest regions of the Republic of Congo. Now, 15 years later, he is ready to host you and help you put together your dream hunt. Knowing the needs of his clients, he will go out of his way to ensure that they are comfortable and feel like part of the family.
